Guidelines for Accepting Students

-All new students are enrolled for a 90-day probationary period; however, the administration may extend the period up to 6 months.

-As a rule, students above the sixth grade who do not personally want to attend COTRCA will not be accepted.

-COTRCA is a school, not a reformatory or school for problem children.

-Students are accepted in the order of the date of receipt of their School Application.

-Each student history is reviewed by the administration individually but, as a rule, a student is not admitted if he/she:

1. Has been arrested
2. Has used alcohol or drugs including nicotine
3. Smokes or has used tobacco for any period of time.
4. Has been dismissed or expelled from another educational institution.
5. Has had an abortion or baby out of wedlock.
6. Is or has been married
7. Has run away from home.

-Entrance is not based on IQ, achievements, or ability. Underachievers are welcomed unless it is evident they will be a social or moral liability to other students.

-Willingness on the student's part to conform to the Uniform Code, to remain in a church school setting, and to cooperate with the moral and spiritual values offered in such a setting.

Guidelines for PreK & Kindergarten Enrollment

1. Must have a BIRTH CERTIFICATE showing that applicant is at least 4 years old. No three year-olds may enroll in COTRCA
2. Must be potty-trained, able to clean, dress, and undress himself. The COTRCA staff is not allowed to handle a student.
3. Must be able to listen and obey verbal directions.
4. Must be independent, willing to separate from parent during school hours.
5. Must be self-controlled for his age, managing anger without violence or physical outbursts, biting, kicking, hitting, etc.
